Alan M. Honkoski

Alan M. Honkoski, 59, of Rogers Park, passed away suddenly on March 2^nd. He was born on September 6, 1963 to Mary and the late William Honkoski. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his brothers, Gary (Diane) Honkoski, Larry (Laura) Honkoski, David Hondoski, and Paul Honkoski; loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. Alan will also be missed by his pet dogs, Rocco and Guido, whom he loved dearly! He was preceded in death by his father, William and brother Michael Honkoski. Alan was a chef at the former Florence Hotel located in the Pullman Historic District, retiring in 2013. Since then he has worked part time at Uncle Julio’s Restaurant in Orland Park. He was a volunteer at the local food pantry near his home, at the local homeless shelter and various veteran organizations. He was a gifted artist making beautiful charcoal portraits of his nieces and nephews! In keeping with his wishes, private cremation rites have been accorded. In lieu of flowers, contributions to your local food pantry, homeless shelter or veteran organization would be appreciated.
