Carmen Lopez, 76, of Oak Forest, passed away Friday, January 31, 2020 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Miguel M. Lopez; Devoted mother of Miguel (Mely) Lopez Jr., Maria (Adel) Lopez-Etayem, Yolanda (Daniel) Lopez Gonzalez, and John Lopez; Cherished Grandmother of 7. She was born in Mexico to the late Cesario and Lucia Hernandez. She came to America in her youth and settled in this area 53 years ago. Carmen’s passion was cooking and baking for her family, but in her spare time could be found gardening, sewing, or simply enjoying a book. Visitation will be Monday, Feb. 3rd from 11:00 AM until the time of her Funeral Mass at 12 Noon at St. Damian Church, 5250 – 155th Street in Oak Forest. Interment Good Shepherd Cemetery.
