Duncan G Gray, III

Duncan G. Gray, III, 80, of New Lenox, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of 53 years to Lois (nee Tomaszek); Dear father of Matthew Gray and Duncan G. (Sharyn) Gray, IV; Cherished grandfather of Eva Gray and Duncan G. Gray, V; Dear brother of Robert (Cynthia) Gray and Ruth (Charles) Pierce. He was preceded in death by his parents, Duncan G. Gray, II and Myrtle Gray. Duncan was a police officer in Richton Park from 1978 until an injury caused him to retire early in 1991. He became a surveillance supervisor for the Empress Casino, retiring from there in 2011. He was also a member of Masonic Fraternal Order. In his spare time, he loved physical exercise, reading and truly enjoyed his emails! In keeping with his wishes, private cremation rites have been accorded. He will be interred at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 W. Hoff Rd., Elwood, IL on June 17, 2022 at 12:30 PM. Those attending are asked to meet at the funeral staging area in the cemetery by 12:15 PM for procession to the committal shelter. In lieu of flowers, contributions to V.F.W.
