George P Benda, Sr, ago 90, US Army, late of New Lenox, formerly of Tinley Park. Cherished husband of Shirley (nee Andrysiak); beloved father of George Jr. (Kathleen, Steve (Nancy), Scott (Susan), Terry (Colleen), Jim (Judy) and Greg (Dana). Grandfather of 15 and great-grandfather of 16. Loving brother of Joan Pepin. Graduate of Farragut High School, George spent several years in manufacturing before establishing Benda Manufacturing in 1986 with his six sons.
Military Honors will be rendered and a Committal of Cremated Remains celebrated on Thursday, May 30, 2024 at 12:30 p.m. at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 W Hoff Road, Elwood, Illinois. Please meet the family of the deceased at the Cemetery Office no later than 12:15 p.m.
