It is with profound sadness and enduring love that we announce the passing of our beloved daughter, sister, and aunt - the cherished daughter of Tom and Barb Laccabue (nee Kunzer), devoted sister to Stacie Holmes, and adored aunt to Chloe Holmes.
For more than 30 years, Julie was a familiar and welcoming face at Jewel-Osco in Frankfort, where she worked with dedication, kindness, and a smile that warmed the hearts of coworkers and customers alike. She built lasting friendships there and was known for treating everyone as family.
Her heart knew no limits. She walked hundreds of miles to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer and multiple sclerosis research, stepping forward year after year with strength, compassion, and hope. She never walked for recognition - she walked for others always believing one person could make a difference.
A tireless advocate for our troops and veterans, she supported those who served with unwavering pride. Whether through volunteer efforts, care packages, fundraiser, or simple words of gratitude, she made sure our heroes were never forgotten.
Juile held a special bond with her family, which included numerous cherished cousins. She is also remembered fondly by her aunts and uncles: Charles (Verdia), Donald (late Sharon), Robert (LaRae), and Gerald (Deborah) Kunzer, as well as Arlene (Ron Panozzo), Elizabeth (late Frank Carlson), and Mary Ellen (late Robert Kunis), along with the late William and Thomas (Paula) Kunzer.
As we remember Julie, let us celebrate her life, her spirit, and her legacy. A memorial gathering will be held on January 10, 2026, starting at 10:00 AM at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Frankfort, followed by a Solemn Mass at 11:00 AM. She will always be cherished and missed, but her love and kindness will resonate in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
