Marilyn Burke, (nee DeVries), 90, of Shorewood, formerly of Thornton. Beloved wife of 61 years to the late William “Bill” J. Burke; Cherished mother of Marylou (Kurt) Post; Devoted grandmother of Tyler and Marissa Post; Loving sister of Joyce M. DeVries; Fond sister-in-law of Lorraine DeVries, Thomas (Barbara) Burke and Robert (Victoria) Burke. She was preceded in death by her brother, William DeVries, and sister, Betty (Late Ralph) Santefort. Cremation rites have been accorded. A Memorial Mass at Holy Family Church, 600 Brook Forest Ave. (Rt. 59) in Shorewood, Wednesday, June 26th, 10:00 AM. Interment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery at 1:00 PM. Those wishing to attend the interment are asked to meet at the cemetery no later than 12:45 PM.  In lieu of flowers, contributions to your favorite charity in Marilyn’s memory would be appreciated.
