Martin Reinhofer

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Martin “Marty” Reinhofer, a beloved father, brother, uncle, and friend. Marty, born on June 19, 1963, passed away on June 21, 2024, in Wilmington, IL at the age of 61. He was known for his love for his daughter Ashley and was a cherished brother to Johnny Reinhofer,  Kathy (John) Baraban, and the late Patricia (Ken) Donaldson.

Marty was a graduate of Lincolnway High School and Lewis University. He enjoyed a successful career as a master carpenter, a profession that he took great pride in. Marty was a devoted fan of the Chicago Cubs and had a passion for muscle cars. In his youth, he played basketball and cherished the simplicity of life, especially during his time in the Smokey Mountains in Sevierville, Tennessee.

Marty leaves behind a legacy of love and fond memories. He is survived by his daughter Ashley, brother Johnny, sister Kathy, and nieces and nephews, including Jennifer, Christine, Tammy, and Scott. Marty also had a special bond with his great-nieces and great-nephews, including Tyler, Zachary, Kamryn, Avery, Emma-Lee, Aiden, Austin, Everett, Adelyn, and Kaylee.

At Marty's request, a private cremation took place. His family will celebrate Marty’s life, in private. Our thoughts and prayers are with his loved ones during this difficult time. Marty will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
