Thomas E. Barnard

Thomas E. Barnard, 65, of Coal City, passed away peacefully Sunday, December 19^th, at his home surrounded by his family. He is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years, Dolores (nee Crowder); Loving father of Nicole (Kyle) Shores and Ronald (Angel) Barnard; Cherished grandfather of Angel Sanders, Audrey Shores, Rayne Barnard, Autumn Shores and Sylvester Shores; Fond brother of Denise (Edward) Hartman, Leigh Anne (Kevin) Hall, Michael Barnard, the late Jon (Christi) Barnard, and the late Ronald Barnard, Jr.; Many loving nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Ronald and Janice Barnard. Thomas was a member of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Coal City. He was an avid fan of the Grundy County Races where he could often be found with his granddaughter, Angel. He cheered on his Green Bay Packers and Chicago White Sox teams. In keeping with his wishes, private cremation rites will be accorded. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 195 S. Kankakee St., Coal City, IL 60416. Family will receive visitors at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of the Memorial Mass.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory to American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023 would be appreciated.
