William Arthur Hand, Sr.

William Arthur Hand, Sr., 70, late of Punta Gorda, FL, formerly of Crete, IL., passed away following a brief illness on Monday, September 5, 2022.  Beloved wife and best friend of Patricia Hand (nee Carr); Loving father of Trisha Hand, Tina (Mike) Mutscheller, Tammy (Pete) Stepanovic, and William Arthur (Jill Hoffman) Hand, Jr.; Cherished grandfather of Victoria (Tanner) Kitsmiller, Annabella Stepanovic, Delila Stepanovic, Katarina Stepanovic, Riley Mutscheller, Meghan Mutscheller, Aiden Mutscheller, Callie Hand, and William Arthur Hand, III; Great-grandfather of Theodore Kitsmiller and Thalia Kitsmiller; Devoted brother of Richard (Mary) Hand, late Charles (Dawn) Hand, late James Robert (late Rebecca) Hand, late Barbara (late Mark) Pohl, and the late Nancy Mayer; Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. William was born on July 27, 1952 to the late Charles Earl and late Florence Christina Hand. He, with his wife and son, owned and operated Addit Heating and Air Conditioning in Crete. Patty and William, Jr. will continue the business. He was a proud Marine Corps Veteran. Always sociable, Bill enjoyed entertaining his family and friends at their home. Recently he joined the Elks Club in Florida. He enjoyed playing golf, but all those who knew him well, knew of his love for food! Visitation will be on Sunday, September 18^th, at the Brady-Gill Funeral Home, 16600 S. Oak Park Ave., Tinley Park from 2:00 PM until the time of the funeral service at 7:00 PM. The service will be live streamed at https://www.asimplestreaming.com/wahand. Private cremation rites will be accorded. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the family for distribution to various charities would be appreciated.
